What's a Cali girl to do in the snow?

When I first moved here to Eastern NC in June 2004 it was hot and humid (not the dry heat I'm used to from living in San Diego,CA my whole life) So that was horrid, not to mention I was pregnant with our second child at that time. Well, that winter it snowed once. So ater that we didn't have snow here again til 2008. It was so wierd not to have it for 4 years, now we've had it every year since, and more than once.
I had been in snow once when I was 2 yrs old but of course don't remember so I don't count it. So seeing it snow here was an expirence and a beautiful one at that. I understand those who have been around it all of their lives not liking it. But for me I'm like a kid in a candy store when it snows. I didn't know that snowflakes actually look like the ones when you're a kid and cut them out of tissue paper. They are so beautiful, and each one is unique. My boys are intrigued by the icicles, and my 2 yr old daughter likes hearing it crunch under her boots.
I've haven't liked living here in NC, but I'm glad that my kids get to have this expirence. The boys are old enough to remember this, my daughter not so much, but I'll be sure to take them to the snow no matter where we live so they can enjoy it.
